Kurt and Chela Kulander are totally amazing! I would not even consider returning to San Miguel without having them as our guides and advisors.
My four girlfriends and I just returned from a fabulous 5 day trip to San Miguel and we LOVED IT! Kurt and Chela picked us up at the airport in Leon, and drove us everywhere we went, introducing us to special ruins and sites we would not have otherwise known of, helped us purchase some amazing ceramics at a wonderful shop where he translated for us, and capped our trip with an invitation to their lovely home. We felt so cared for during our entire trip which by the way I would give an A rating

As you know; I stayed at your Mom's B & B six or 7 times and really was fond of Natalie. She was a great business woman. I have owned my business all my life and feel qualified to make a judgment of another professional. Every time I was there except Dec. 09 you were there visiting her at lunchtime or breakfast. She was obviously proud of you and you of her. Then Dec. 08 your sister; Cynthia came in from California...I had never seen nor had I heard your mother mention her. I just know she appeared rude and not a gentle person. The first night she was there she paced the wood floor above my room and talked L. D. late at night loudly...No respect for guests. I also had a girlfriend with me. Her name is Bobbie Walker. She was in the room next to mine. I stayed at the Casa Carmen for one night recently and asked Cynthia why she put me in the same room when I had requested a room farther from the noise of the kitchen. She exploded saying her mother told her she could not please me. Natalie and I were friendly...so I don't know where she got that. Anyway; we checked out the next day and moved to the San Francisco Hotel for most of the rest of our trip. When I wrote her the check for the night. To Casa Carmen; she asked me to change it to Cynthia Kulander...I questioned this; knowing she had two brothers..she said it was a personal matter.. She did the same thing in Dec. 09. Kurt and Chela are an Excellent Team! The fact that they work together as husband and wife makes them much more versatile and effective than the other services we observed. It was more like being out with friends than on an official tour! You can place your complete trust in them for whatever your needs are while in Mexico; they will be there for you personally; not just for trans/tours. Why pay for 1 guide when you can get 2 for 1 with Kurt and Chela!? It was an absolute delight spending time with them!!! We can now say that we Have friends in Mexico!!! See you next time!

Hi Kurt; We are planning a visit and would like to stay at your mom's inn. Can you please tell me the best way to contact her about availability? Kurt and Chela were wonderful. they met us at the airport and delivered exactly what they had promised and more besides. they were professional; knowledgeable; friendly and wonderful hosts throughout. We are a family of 5 with young children and they were perfect. We recommend them.

Kurt and Chela were wonderful to us during our stay in San Miguel Allende. From the moment they picked us up at the airport all the way through our stay; they were dependable; timely; interesting; and took special care to make sure all of our needs were met. When we go back; we will definitely call them again.
